Events in Newcastle

The Events in Newcastle website is a polished, uncluttered and free events listing site for the Tyneside (and Northumberland) area.

Users can search for events by category, date or text search.  They can also subscribe to the site newsletter on a weekly or monthly basis and can specify the event categories they are interested in.

Event organisers can register for free and submit an unlimited number of events.  Events are submitted for moderation/approval before they are displayed on the site.

The site administration system also generates automatic Twitter and Facebook posts for approved events.  Reminders are also posted the day before an event.

Other events sites

The Event-in-Cities websites expanded from just Newcastle to also include Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Coventry, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Portsmouth, Sheffield, Southampton, Stoke, Wolverhampton and York.

We developed an integrated administration layer for the separate websites with instant up to the minute statistics and status information, together with a quick-access system to switch 'city' and administer it (e.g. event approval).
